Remembering Prime Minister József Antall 2015. 04. 15. An Energy Union We Can Support 2015. 03. 12. When the subject turns to the idea of an Energy Union, a number of factors influence Hungary’s perspective. First of all, security of supply is a crucial issue for us. Approximately 80 percent of Hungarian households rely on natural gas for heating. That high rate of penetration is almost unmatched in all of Europe. At the same time, Hungary depends on Russia for 80 percent of the supply of that gas. The members of the Intergroup on Minorities turn to the European Commission regarding the Székely Freedom Day 2015. 03. 12. Today a meeting of the European Parliament’s Intergroup on Minorities was held in Strasbourg. At the beginning of the meeting, Fidesz MEP Kinga Gál, Co-Chair of the Intergroup on Minorities, read a letter from the Székely National Council in relation to the planned Szekely Freedom Day parade of 10 March in Marosvasarhely, which was banned by local authorities.
