Focus on the safety of Europe’s external borders 2015. 12. 15. On Tuesday the European Commission will propose a motion to set up an ad-hoc deployable European Border and Coast Guard. The plenary session of the European Parliament has dealt with this matter. At the debate Kinga Gál welcomed the Commission's proposal to focus on the protection of external borders, however, she also drew attention to the sensitive issue regarding State Members sovereignty.
