Press Release of MEP Enikő Győri (Fidesz/EPP Group) - Crisis knows no frontiers: this was clearly evidenced by the fact that from the very beginning of the economic turmoil, problems in the eurozone exerted immediate effects on non-eurozone countries, despite the fact that the latter disposed of a much healthier banking system. In the overwhelming majority of cases, toxic products were e.g. largely absent from the balance sheets of the financial institutions in the new Members States, and most of them conducted a rather prudent and sound investment policy.
