Unprecedented, offensive and dishonourable defamation by Martin Schulz 2013. 05. 17. The Hungarian EPP Group Delegation (Fidesz) most decidedly rejects the recent statement of Martin Schulz, Socialist President of the European Parliament. His statement seriously hurts the honour of all Hungarian citizens and the honour of the Hungarian nation as a whole. It is unprecedented and unacceptable that the President of the European Parliament is accusing a whole country and all of its citizens of anti-Semitism. Hereby, the Hungarian EPP Group Delegation calls on Mr Martin Schulz to publicly apologise to the Hungarian citizens and immediately rectify his false and outrageous statement.

On the invitation of Philippe Moureaux, Chairman of the Belgian Senate's Internal Affairs Committee, MEP Lívia Járóka participated at a hearing on human trafficking and begging with children. In her speech she reminded of the necessity of transposing the EU directive on human trafficking and emphasized that begging was not rooted in Roma traditions but in poverty and social exclusion.
