The amended State Language Law of the Slovak Republic

The State Language Law of the Slovak Republic and the question by Kinga Gál and Edit Bauer on behalf of the PPE Group to the Commission, will be discussed in the Parliament’s plenary session in November. The PPE supports the proposal by Kinga Gál and Edit Bauer.

The amended law restricts the use of national minority languages while promoting the state language. The law interferes with the implementation of the basic principles of freedom of expression.
