    Prof. Attila Brassai won the lawsuit against the Medical University of Targu-Mures, who was admonished in March by the leaders of the University for absence of loyalty. As it is known, the Hungarian Professor presented the case of the Hungarian language department of the Medical University of Targu-Mures during the meeting of the Minority Intergroup chaired by Kinga Gál MEP in November 2011.

    Protection of fundamental rights must not be a victim of ideological debate

    The EPP Group today voted against the Flašíková Beňová Report on fundamental rights. In contrast to the more balanced and objective alternative Resolution tabled by the EPP Group, the adopted Report goes beyond the remit of the Lisbon Treaty, disregards the sovereignty of Member States and goes against the fundamental values and principles the EPP Group firmly believes in. The EPP Group condemns the Liberals and the Left-wing groups who are continuously putting their ideology into the fight for fundamental and human rights. Party politics in this field must come to an end", said EPP Group MEPs Kinga Gál and Manfred Weber after the vote.
